The Artist's Garden.
Today I want to introduce gardens, artist’s gardens and why I am so inspired by them.
The peace and contemplation found in Mediterranean gardens help me to focus on, and channel my creative ideas. The bright dry ochre pathways cut through the dark purple shadows cast by arbours and cypress. Thyme and lavender perfume drifts in the heat. But I am particularly inspired by water gardens, by fountains and ponds, by reflections and ripples… I take photographs and use the patterns and textures as inspiration for my drawing.
