Yesterday I took photos for this post in the gardens in Nîmes called ‘Le Jardin de la Fontaine’. These gardens were designed and laid out in the 18th century upon the then recently excavated foundations and ruins of a Nymphaeum, a playground for water-nymphs, a sort of colonial spa resort, built to the glory of Augustus of the Roman Empire...
